The Palermo neighborhood has become the most active gastronomic pole in the City of Buenos Aires. What is now called Palermo Hollywood, delimited by Juan B. Justo Avenue, Dorrego, Santa Fe Avenue and Córdoba Avenue, for decades was reserved almost exclusively for residences of middle-class families and auto repair shops. But after the arrival in the neighborhood, at the beginning of the current century, of production companies and television channels with their respective post-production companies, it received the name it currently has. Along with the landing of the first artistic companies, a new phenomenon also began to take shape, the gastronomic one.

A few years before, in a neighboring area, on the other side of Juan B. Justo Avenue, what is now called Palermo Soho was created, delimited by Scalabrini Ortiz, Córdoba, Juan B. Justo and Santa Fe Avenues. , which refers to the Soho neighborhood of the cities of New York and London, was given for its orientation to design and fashion, although there are not few restaurants in the area.
